School Programs and Gray Cup
This spring, the tennis clubs in Caledon - including
the Caledon Tennis Club - once again introduced tennis in the local
schools to grades 4, 5 and 6 as part of the school curriculum. We used
junior racquets, nerf balls and portable
nets. Last year the program introduced 1400 children to our game.
The funds were
supplied through the Gray Foundation in memory of one of our past members
Jim Gray. To raise money for this worthwhile event, an annual team
tennis tournament is held. It’s a fun, one-day event for all
calibres of players from beginners to pro. You only play against
players of your same ability. Please visit the Inter-Club
website (see link at left) for the registration form. Register early,
last year's event filled up in August!
